Plenary I - Introducing knowledge transfer & exchange for palliative care - introduces the context for knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) in palliative care, including the need for effective dissemination and communication and the challenges of this task. Central to the presentation is EMTReK, an evidence-based model for the transfer and exchange of research evidence. The aim is to provide delegates with some points for reflection across the day as they experience KTE in action

Plenary II - Applying knowledge transfer & exchange in palliative care - to reflect on the application of KTE as proposed by the model and it's components, as evident in the presentations across the day, encouraging discussion and debate among the delegates. This provides an opportunity for delegates to share their views on EMTReK and its relevance to their work. The purpose is to provide delegates with take home messages and practical examples of effective KTE.
